The Art of Being Liked

Let’s face it everyone wants to be liked, there are some people who say they don’t care if anyone likes them but we all know they’re full of crap.

You can believe a person when they say they don’t care what other people think about them. It’s beneficial for everyone not to care what other people think about them, especially the people who are the haters and not important to you.

It’s one thing to say that you don’t care what people think about you but it’s another thing to say you don’t care if anyone likes you because everybody wants to be liked by someone.

Some people are more likable than others and if you want to be one of those more likable people you just need to have the traits that most likable people have.

Here are some of the core things
that make people likable.

People that are likable are genuine and they genuinely like other people.

They are very good listeners. If you want to be liked one of the best things you can do is listen to someone intently by giving them your full undivided attention.

There is be no better quality or skill a person can have than listening when it comes to being a likable person. If you want to be liked, focus on listening to people and giving them your undivided attention, and always keep good eye contact with the other person.

Engage others in conversation by asking open ended questions and then following up with other questions to their answers. Always be sincere with your questions when you engaging in conversation with another person if you’re not the other person will sense it.

Always be positive and enthusiastic, other people love being around people that are optimistic and show enthusiasm in living their life to the fullest.

Remember, nothing disarms you and makes you more approachable than a genuine warm smile.

Always be yourself. If you have to pretend to be someone you’re not for someone to like you, then that person isn’t worth being like by. Have a good sense of humor and don’t be afraid to make fun of yourself in the right situations.

Your mother gave you some of the best advice when you were very young, which can take you a long way in life when she told you to have good manners.

Having good manners and being polite and respectful to others shows character and regards for society.

Do not judge others, the easiest way to be unlikeable is to talk behind others back and gossip about them.

The most important thing you should remember if you want to be a liked is to treat others the way you want to be treated.

Likable people always live a happier and more fulfilled life than those who are unlikable.
